Our factory adjustment is only present if the customer is using new brake pads and new discs as well.
If the customer is using used brake pads/discs he needs to adjust the calipers by him self.
It is very important to adjust the brake calipers carefully. The parts inside the ATE- and NBK handbrake calipers are working much different compared to the Girling type. This caution will prevent that the piston inside is squeezed out and cause further problems.
Budweg Caliper A/S is always enclosing a fitting instruction with all handbrake calipers. It is very important to read this instruction before the calipers are mounted on the car.
Our new developed equipment is also helping Budweg to test the handbrake mechanism even better, before we release the brake calipers for sale. We expect this initiative will reduce warranties on the handbrake mechanism to a further minimum on all ATE- and NBK handbrake calipers.
